Local graphic design collective Golden Arrows recently invented a beaut custom wallpaper for Voltage Coffee + Art of Kendall Square.
“The final product was about 70 hand-cut stencils screen-printed in 12 colors on paper that we then wheatpasted to the gallery walls.”

earth salts
Back in June I shot production stills for a project filmed by SALT Project, a local not-for-profit based in Jamaica Plain. The assignment was a one-day shoot in the Old South Church downtown. My first time on a set, it was a pleasure working intensely with a team on a tight shooting schedule.
Below are some picks from the shoot, with more after the jump.
little birds
Another collective child of this past year has been working with amigo Ernesto D Morales to build our DJ team under the name Pajaritos. We’ve played a healthy hybrid of parties, bars and galleries around town. We’re blessed to work with so many creative and energizing people in Boston.
This Friday we’ll be opening for Camilo Lara of the Mexican Institute of Sound on the harbor walk of the Institute of Contemporary Art, presented in conjunction with the exhibition The Record: Contemporary Art and Vinyl. Pajaritos’ set will be from 7:30-9p, followed by Camilo.
“Mexico City–based Mexican Institute of Sound fuses Latin American folk rhythms with the most up-to-the-minute hip-hop and electronica. DJ and producer Camilo Lara will turn the ICA into “a sweaty indie dance party below the bustling streets of [Latin America's] most popular cities.” YES, grande.

new york resolution
To celebrate the birth of 2011, old buddy Ben Friedman mobilized contacts around the world to shoot for his New York Resolution project.
The premise: “New York Resolution narrates through photography our character and commitment for the new year, searching for meaning behind the new year’s resolutions of members of our communities around the globe.”
I shot the Boston chapter of this project in and around Central Square, Cambridge. Check out my set and others from as far away as Mumbai, Sydney and Singapore here.
Editorial fiesta
It’s been a busy year.
After returning from Spain, I began a job as Photo Editor of Time Out Boston. I’m thankful for every opportunity this gave me– immersion and a new perspective on my home city, the opportunity to work closely with a group of creative professionals that I also call my friends, the chance to document art and culture in all of its forms, sharing a workspace and a community with the hardworking and talented folk over at Fringe Union, and experience building a collective baby from the ground up.
I’ve updated my portfolio to give a quick glance at what I’ve been involved in. Looking forward to more collaborations as I begin my second year back in the Bay State.
